Casting
Perch Fishing
We offer guided fishing tours on Lake Höytiäinen, Lake Pyhäselkä, Lake Viinijärvi, and Lake Pielinen, which provide you the opportunity to cast for perch. Our experienced fishing guides find the spots where the fish are most likely to bite and assist you in choosing and using the best possible equipment for successful casting.
Casting is all about accuracy, as you are targeting a certain type of fish – in this case perch. Perch is the most common and the most loved fish in our waters, and it provides varying challenges to anglers depending on the season and the type of water. Thus, for successful casting anglers usually require a solid knowledge of the fishing ground and proper gear selection based on the targeted fish. This is something our knowledgeable fishing guides have years of experience on.
Luckily, the European perch, which is the national fish of Finland, is also one of our tastier fishes, which means that skilled anglers can look forward to a tasty meal after their trip.
Zander Fishing
During the open water season, we also organize fishing tours where we jig for zander in the same waters. Jigs are used to fish near the bottom, which means that proper selection of gear is an important part of a successful fishing trip. Jigging offers a light, fun, and exciting way to pass the time for anglers of varying skill levels, and it is not surprise that the popularity of jigging keeps increasing each year.
With jigging, we familiarize you with the right equipment and fishing techniques, as well as the most important jigging tools, such as sonars, which reveal the schools of fish hiding near the bottom.
Casting for Pike
Explosive bites are an essential part of pike fishing. Pike has the highest initial speed of any Finnish fish, which is why it is a favored target of many anglers. It is commonly thought that fishing for pike is easy, but this is really not the case. Casting for pike is possible throughout the open water season. We use a wide selection of lures for pike fishing to ensure that even the pickier fish take the bait.

A general description of our fishing tours:
The fishing guide describes the water we will be fishing in and the targeted fish. Next, we familiarize ourselves with the boat and the fishing equipment we will be using and go over the fishing techniques based on our chosen target. At the same time, we run through any safety aspects that must be taken into consideration while fishing and moving on the water. During the familiarization with the equipment, we can also enjoy coffee prepared over a campfire. Next, we head off to fish. Once we are done, we return to the starting point, or to another, specifically agreed harbor. Finally, the fish caught by our customers can be gutted and cleaned for future use. The duration of the trip can be customized according to the anglers’ requests and goals.
Each trip is matched to the skill level of the anglers, which means that more experienced participants are offered new experiences and challenges, whereas with beginners we focus more on the selection of equipment, mastering the basic techniques, and having experiences of success on the lake. While we cannot guarantee massive hauls, we promise that we will always do our best on the water and aim to provide pleasant fishing experiences and new insights to anglers of all skill levels.
In the summer, we also offer guided fishing tours to larger groups. Tours can also be organized on other lakes than the ones mentioned in the descriptions of our packages.
We can also provide fishing tourism services to larger groups through our partners where necessary. With more boats, even larger groups can enjoy fishing together.
If you wish, we can also organize guided tours of other lakes as well. We have extensive experience of fishing in various water bodies throughout the year. Thus, you can be sure that our experienced fishing guides will organize a successful fishing trip to the lake of your choosing. Each fishing trip to a lake not included in our package tours is planned and priced individually and case-specifically. Contact us and we will plan and organize the best fishing trip for you!
